About Hattori 傘 SAN Limited

Grand Master Hattori became 80 years old. In Japan, a person’s 80th birthday is commemorated with a special celebration called 傘寿 / Sanju. To celebrate this milestone and his proud achievements as a Master craftsman, Hattori created the 傘 SAN Limited — a series of strictly limited-production knives, each one a testament to a lifetime of dedication to the craft.

This is the 168th version of Hattori "SAN" Limited edition" celebrating his 80th year old anniversary. He has selected the VG-10 Clad Classic and Dynamic Bowie model. Master Hattori carefully selected the only high quality leather washer and unique texture of Green Malachite Gem Composite Stone for finishing this knife collection.

7.9" VG-10 San-Mai stainless steel Heavy duty Dynamic Bowie blade with Hamaguri-ba ground edge, and false edge on back.  4.8" Laminated Leather washers handle with  Green Malachite Gem Composite Stone Spacers and stainless steel hilt and Butt. Hidden full tang permanently fastened with butt screws. 12.7" Overall length. Come with brown Custom Leather sheath. The blade bears the signature 傘 SAN etching, and the knife is presented in a Hattori Presentation Box.
